Like most people, I love it when other folks do the heavy lifting. And with the health-care reform, there's a lot of it.
If there's been a more complicated, convoluted public policy debate in the last 20 years, I can't recall it.
So thanks to Timothy Noah at Slate who has put together an excellent compendium of links for those who want to understand better the health-care overhaul debate.
Since the public option and the Medicare buy-in efforts are virtually dead, you can save yourself some time by skipping that reading unless you're just into lost causes.
Of course, you can also search for reports by NPR's Julie Rovner on NPR.org. Or go to the "Prescriptions for Change" page on the NPR.org website. Scott Hensley at NPR.org's Shots health care blog is also posting often on health care reform efforts and gets contributions from NPR staffers.
