Not guilty plea entered for Nigerian man charged with trying to blow up U.S. airliner.
Reuters adds that U.S. Magistrate Mark Randon entered the plea for the suspect.

A scheduled 2 p.m. ET arraignment hearing in Detroit for Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is expected to be brief. But as Sarah Hulett of Michigan Radio reports, there's heavy security for the first court appearance by the young Nigerian man who's accused of trying to blow up an airliner as it approached Detroit on Christmas Day:
