"Google Inc. is expected to unveil Tuesday its vision for how a mobile phone should be made and sold," the Associated Press writes, "likely raising the stakes in the Internet search leader's bid to gain more control over how people surf the Web while they're on the go."
You don't have to wait to see one to get a feel for what the Nexus One is like, though. As NPR's Laura Sydell writes at All Tech Considered:
This intrepid reporter managed to actually get her hands on one. My verdict: I really like it. I even think it's a competitive alternative to the iPhone.
Among the things she likes: The fast operating system, the high resolution screen, the camera and "the feel of the Nexus One in my hand."
Laura also reported about the Nexus One on yesterday's All Things Considered:
Update at 1:45 p.m. ET.CNET is live-blogging Google's unveiling of the phone. It says Google is making the case that Nexus One is a "mini computer sitting in your pocket."
