It hasn't even been 48 hours since President Barack Obama delivered his first State of the Union address, so it's really too soon to gauge the speech's impact on public opinion. But here's how his poll numbers look as the draws to a close:

We took the interactive tool at Pollster.com, set the date range for Jan. 20, 2009, (Inauguration Day) through today, and filtered out Internet-only polls. The result, according to Pollster's averages of major surveys: A "disapproval" rating of 48.6% vs. an "approval" rating of 48.1% (that's as of 2:25 p.m. ET; the numbers may vary a bit as Pollster.com incorporates more data).

Statistically, they're dead-even. The two fever lines' directions in recent days, though, comes through in the graphic.
