One year ago tomorrow, Barack Obama was sworn into office as the nation's 44th (and first African-American) president.
He's beginning his second year in office, as Gallup has reported, with approval and disapproval ratings very much like those of then-president Ronald Reagan in 1982.
But as this Pollster.com chart shows, Obama's popularity is well below where it was on Inauguration Day, though it appears to have leveled off and even edged slightly higher in recent weeks:
Yesterday, NPR's Ina Jaffe reported on All Things Considered about some of the president's supporters feel. Several in the mostly African-American group said they remain proud to have seen Obama elected — but are disillusioned because they hoped he would have accomplished more by now.
Here's a question (and this is not a scientific survey, by any means):
We'll keep the question open until 10 a.m. ET Wednesday.
Update at 10:15 a.m. ET: On Morning Edition, PolitiFact Editor Bill Adair said that his researchers calculate that the president has fulfilled 91 of his campaign promises, compromised on 33, and "broken" 14. Another 87 have stalled.
