Update: Three Reported Dead, Four Wounded In St. Louis; Gunman Kills Self

"A gunman armed with an assault rifle stormed a power company this morning in north St. Louis, shooting at least three people," the Post-Dispatch reports. The newspaper says at least one victim may have died.

The incident, at offices of ABB Power, began around 7:30 a.m. ET and the gunman may still be in the building, the Post-Dispatch and Associated Press report.

Update at 12:40 p.m. ET: KMOX-TV says the gunman "apparently took his own life" and that he may be one of the three fatalities. "At least seven people were shot," the station says. The AP is saying eight people were shot and three are dead.

The Post-Dispatch says the gunman is presumed to be among the three fatalities.

Update at 12:25 p.m. ET: The Associated Press now says that "Police Capt. Sam Dotson" says three people have died and four are wounded. Police are still searching for the gunman and for any other victims, the AP adds.

Update at 11:45 a.m. ET. The Post-Dispatch now writes that at least five people were shot and one is "presumed dead." The AP says the suspect may be a former or current employee of the company and that it's not known where he is.
