We don't want to spend too much time on popularity polls, but it doesn't hurt to check in once a week or so on how the president's doing — especially when there's been a lot going on (State of the Union; his meeting with Republicans; etc.).

Last week, we noted that Pollster.com's interactive chart on the top polls showed President Barack Obama's approval and disapproval "ratings" were about 50-50 — with "disapproval" just a bit ahead.
