In Performance at the White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement, which will feature appearances by Bob Dylan, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson and others, has been moved up to tonight because of the blizzard that's expected to leave another foot or so of snow on the nation's capital by the end of the day tomorrow.
The event had been scheduled for tomorrow evening, but the White House just announced the new plan.
It's still set to be webcast live, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
And, as the White House says:
The concert will be televised on February 11th at 8:00 p.m. ET on public broadcasting stations nationwide as part of WETA Washington, D.C.'s In Performance at the White House series. NPR will also produce a one-hour concert special from this event for broadcast nationwide on NPR Member stations throughout the month of February, beginning February 12th. The special will be available on www.npr.org/music.
