For those anxiously waiting for Tiger Woods to return to the links:
— The Associated Press, citing information from "two people with knowledge of his plans," says Woods "intends to remain out of golf at least until the Masters."
That would be the Masters Tournament, one of the "majors", which is to be held in Augusta, Ga., April 8-11.
— ESPN's Tom Rinaldi says he has been told by "someone ... in the Woods camp, (that) most likely Woods will return to competitive golf at the Masters":
— CBS, which broadcasts the Masters and surely would love to see Tiger tee it up there, is still of the opinion that he might play a tournament before then to tune up. As the network's Steve Elling writes:
"With Woods practicing at home for the past 10 days, all signs pointed toward an earlier return, perhaps in two weeks at Arnold Palmer's tournament in Orlando, where Woods has won six times. In fact, it's the only regular PGA Tour event that he has never missed in his 13-year career."
In the unlikely event that you need (or want) a refresher on Tiger's problems in recent months, this story is as good a place to start as any.
