There's a case coming before the U.S. Supreme Court that should be of interest to anyone who has an employer-provided cell phone, computer or other device that can be used to send electronic messages.

As NPR's Nina Totenberg explained on Morning Edition, the issue is whether "personal messages are private when transmitted over an electronic device supplied by an employer" and "it is the first case testing privacy rights in the Internet age." If the court rules that such messages are not private, then we all may want to be a lot more careful about what we say and who we contact.
