A few more bits of news about the flooding in New England:

-- Two teens in Smithfield, R.I., helped rescue a driver from the high waters earlier this week:

-- The White House says President Barack Obama "will address the severe flooding in the Northeast" during his visit to Maine today, the Associated Press reports. Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick tells the wire service he is trying to arrange a visit for the president to some of the hard-hit areas.

-- Dan Kelley of Groton, Conn., a cousin of NPR newscast producer Kathy Rushlow, shares with us this photo he took today in Mystic, Conn.:
