The state dinner for Mexican President Felipe Calderon is underway at the White House. And while not much is certain in Washington, we can be fairly sure there aren't any gate crashers like the infamous Salahis this time.

The guest list is a mix of the rich and powerful from Washington, Mexico, Hollywood and the professional sports. There probably aren't too many get-togethers where you're likely to find House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Mexican telecommunications billionaire and New York Times investor Carlos Slim, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, quarterback Mark Sanchez of the New York Jets and actress Eva Longoria-Parker.

The White House released the expected guest list for tonight's state dinner earlier in the day as well as the guest list for the after-dinner reception.

Beyonce and Rodrigo y Gabriela will provide the entertainment after tonight's dinner.

The guest chef who prepared the menu is Rick Bayless of Chicago, known for his creative interpretations of Mexican cuisine at restaurants like Frontera Grill.

The menu:

Jicama with Oranges, Grapefruit, and Pineapple Citrus Vinaigrette Ulises Valdez Chardonnay 2007 "Russian River"
