In light of the recent hardships that have struck the state of Louisiana following the oil spill in the Gulf, the Louisiana Legislature Sunday unanimously approved a resolution recognizing Sunday, June 20, 2010 as a "Statewide Day of Prayer for Louisiana, and the Gulf of Mexico region, particularly those affected by the environmental and economic disaster resulting from the BP Deepwater Horizon oil leak."
