Wyclef Jean To Announce Haitian Presidential Bid

The former Fugees member will discuss his future with CNN's Larry King tonight.  NPR's Renee Montagne asked AP's Haiti correspondent Jonathan Katz about Jean's background and prospects:

KATZ: The music that he's done certainly has a political element to it. And he's been involved in some fairly political aspects of Haitian life.  In 2007 he was made an ambassador-at-large by President Rene Preval; his charity aid group Yele Haiti is very active, so it's not completely out of character with the way he's talked and the way he's acted.
