Missouri School Buses, Truck Crash; At least 2 Dead, 50 Injured

A very bad highway accident involving school buses transporting children, a truck and SUV on eastbound I-44 in Missouri has left at least two dead and at least 50 injured.

The accident, which is drawing national attention, occurred in Gray Summit, Mo., west of St. Louis. The buses are from the St. James School District.

We'll have more details as we can get them.

Update at 12:55 pm ETKMOV.com, the web site for Channel 4 TV in St. Louis reports the following:

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Department, two people have been killed in a major accident on eastbound I-44. Authorities say that at least one of the victims is a child...

... The buses were full of 8th grade students from St. James, Missouri. These were band students headed to Six Flags.
