Congo Odyssey, Day Four: The Barge 'Is Also A Mini's Noah's Ark'

The barge transports hundreds of passengers and mountains of freight and cargo, but it is also a mini Noah's Ark. There's also a wide selection of animals living cheek-by-jowl with humans.

NPR's Ofeibea Quist-Arcton describes the menagerie on board the M/B SETB.

The critters range from head-butting goats, called Jean-Philibert and Mambweni, to monkeys and even an eagle named Miffy. There was apparently a crocodile on board, but passengers never got to meet him.
