Weekly Jobless Claims Drop

The Labor Department says its latest weekly check of new applications for unemployment benefits dropped by 17,000 to 421,000. MarketWatch adds the more reliable four-week moving average dropped to 427,500 - that's interesting, because it's the lowest level reported since August, 2008. Remember, the November unemployment rate stood at 9.8 percent.
