Bloody Friday in Syria: 47 Killed In Regime's Crackdown

Syrian security forces continued their violent crackdown on protesters today, killing at least 47 people in different parts of the country, according to the Local Coordination Committees, which organize the protests. Most deaths occurred in cities that witnessed large gatherings like Homs, Hama and Daraa, the committees added.

Very few foreign journalists have been allowed into Syria, so most of the information coming out of the country has come from activists and the people on the ground. We have been watching social media sites throughout the day, and collected some videos that reflect today's bloody events. Please be aware that some of the content that follows is graphic.
