From Radio to LEGO, Fan Makes Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! Host Figurines
Your favorite host and scorekeeper have been immortalized in the art of childhood memories: LEGO. Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! fan and self-proclaimed LEGO builder Dave Kaleta (@KakaLeta) constructed two miniature figurines of hosts Peter Sagal and Carl Kasell.
Dave presented Peter and Carl with their plastic counterparts at a radio show taping the day before the Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! crew shot their "2011 Year in Review" special earlier this month. You can watch the special on BBC AMERICA this Friday, December 23, 8:00pm ET/PT, and listen to it on NPR Stations this weekend on December 24 and 25. (Local stations and airtimes are available at NPR.org.)
Thanks to Dave for the creative contribution. Now what about you? If LEGO isn't your style, what medium would YOU use to capture the likeness of Peter and Carl? A larger than life pillow, perhaps? Any other ideas?
