Writer and director Rian Johnson's new movie Looper debuted this weekend, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis who play old and young versions of the same person.

Rian talked with NPR Host Rachel Martin on All Things Considered this weekend about the complexities of writing the time travel story, where (and when) he'd go if he could navigate time and space, and how great movies suspend disbelief allowing the audience to go along for the ride.

While here at NPR West, Rian posed to show NPR some love, even though according to him, "guys like me prefer to be on the other side of the camera."
