Beth Orton has a new album called Sugaring Season, a title she says makes her think of the first murmurings of spring and the sense of hope that comes with the season. The musician talked to NPR Host Jacki Lyden on All Things Considered over the weekend about motherhood, her evolving songwriting process, and how playing the guitar gives her the focus and discipline that meditation once did.
With winter weather right around the corner (or just outside the front door) we are glad to have her show us some warm NPR love.
