The Curious Listener: Ringing In The Laughter

Car Talk hosts Tom and Ray Magliozzi are a dynamic duo with a reputation for irreverent banter served alongside advice on automobiles and other of life's paramount dilemmas.

Each week you can hear the best of the past 25 years of their show on public radio stations and online. But some audience members hope for a different kind of listening experience.

Over the years, fans have come up with inventive ways to make the fun of Car Talk and the signature Magliozzi laughter part of their daily lives. Take this quirky suggestion to NPR Listener Services as an example.

Do you think the Car Guys would consider recording and sharing their wonderful laughter to be used as a ring tone? Sometimes I think that joyful sound is as much a reason for me to listen as the car advice!
