It isn't usual for me to be confused by fashion, but this picture in a NYTimes slide show has made my head reel.
All I can say is that I think the $7,900 price tag of the ensemble is probably right, because, at the going exchange rate, I think it translates to about two Victorian shillings and sixpence.
