Eyewitness to the March on Washington, Pt. I

Talk of the Nation, August 25, 2003 · Thursday, Aug. 28 marks the 40th anniversary of the March on Washington. A quarter of a million people blanketed the Mall, demanding civil rights. It was a defining moment in American history, but it was also a massive feat of political and logistical organization. Leading up to our hour-long discussion on Thursday, we'll be talking to people who helped plan the March on Washington.
