    Man's Restored Sight Aids Scientists Studying Vision

    Morning Edition, August 26, 2003 · After 46 years of blindness, a California man is learning to see. Researchers say testing on Michael May, who was blind until he underwent surgery in 2000, suggests blindness has long-term effects on how the brain processes information. The case is documented in the journal Nature Neuroscience. NPR's Steve Inskeep talks to Michael May.
