Democrat Carney Has Edge In Delaware

Republican Mike Castle, the longest-serving House member in Delaware history, is leaving to run for the Senate in a special election for the seat vacated by now-Vice President Joe Biden. John Carney is a former lieutenant governor who wanted, but didn't receive, the appointment to that Senate seat. Assuming Carney wins this at-large House seat, he is a potential Senate candidate in 2014, when that same Senate seat will next be up. -Ken Rudin
