A Different Moore On The Ballot, But Still A Tough Fight

It's not that Dennis Moore has long been the most vulnerable Democrat in the Kansas congressional delegation. Since 1998, he's been the ONLY Democrat -- and thus is on the "endangered" list every cycle. And while he has won fairly comfortably his last three times out, he found himself in real jeopardy had he decided to run this year. His decision to retire, while surprising, was followed by an even more surprising announcement that his wife, Stephene, would run in his stead. This year's GOP nominee, state Rep. Kevin Yoder, is thought to be the best candidate Republicans could have put up. -Ken Rudin
