Gordon's Retirement Gives GOP An Opening In Tennessee

Incumbent Bart Gordon (D), who succeeded Al Gore in the House back in 1984, is retiring after 13 terms. Voters here historically vote Democratic for Congress, but state Sen. Diane Black (R), a registered nurse, is thought to have a better than even shot over Brett Carter, an attorney. -Ken Rudin
