Challenger Poses Little Threat To Wyden

Ron Wyden (D), first elected in 1996, is seeking a third full term. He is a hard-working Democrat whose political strength has grown since his narrow special election victory in 1996 following the retirement of scandal-plagued Republican Bob Packwood. He should easily dispose of law professor Jim Huffman. -Ken Rudin
