In Pa., It's The GOP's Turn, Again

Incumbent Ed Rendell (D), first elected in 2002, is term limited. There is a trend in Pennsylvania politics that goes back to the 1950s -- the governorship goes to the Democrats for two terms, then to the Republicans for two terms, and then back again. And now, after two terms of Rendell, it's the Republicans' turn. The GOP candidate is Tom Corbett, the state attorney general, who holds a constant lead over Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato. -Ken Rudin
