Fleet Foxes In ConcertKUT

The band declined our request to replay this concert recording.

Hear and see Fleet Foxes recorded live in concert from Stubb's Barbecue in Austin, Texas. The band is on tour in support of its breathtaking new album, Helplessness Blues. You can hear the entire album online as part of NPR Music's First Listen series.

"It's called Helplessness Blues for a number of reasons," Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold says. "One, it's kind of a funny title. Secondly, one of the prevailing themes of the album is the struggle between who you are and who you want to be or who you want to end up, and how sometimes you are the only thing getting in the way of that. That idea shows up in a number of the songs."

Fleet Foxes formed in Seattle a couple of years before releasing its self-titled debut in 2008. Helplessness Blues is the band's full-length followup. The group now includes Robin Pecknold, Skye Skjelset, Josh Tillman, Casey Wescott, Christian Wargo and Morgan Henderson.
