Arturo Sandoval: The Music In His Heart

February 2, 2012One of the world's foremost jazz trumpeters delights with two masterful performances of time-honored standards.

In a recent visit to the KPLU/Jazz24 studios, Cuban-born trumpeter, Arturo Sandoval said, "If you've got music in your heart, you're gonna be a happy person, no matte what." This performance of There Will Never Be Another You is proof that music makes Arturo very happy, indeed. You'll see that in addition to having a great time playing his trumpet, he gets a huge kick out of his bandmates, Johnny Friday (drums), John Belzaguy (bass), Mahesh Balasooriya (piano) and Zane Musa (saxophone).
