February 23, 2012 Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club was home to a night of New Orleans soul and funk when Galactic took the stage for a performance, originally webcast live on NPR Music Feb. 23.
It's hard to overstate the infectious energy and thrill of a live performance by the New Orleans band Galactic. The group leads audiences on an unpredictable, brass-fueled march through the worlds of hip-hop, soul and funk, as they're fused with rock and, of course, New Orleans jazz.
The intensity reached a fever pitch when Galactic visited Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club for a night of live music and dance, originally webcast live on NPR Music Feb. 23. For this performance the band was joined by guest singer Corey Glover of the band Living Colour.
