KCRW Presents: Blood OrangeKCRW

Dev Hynes is the one man band behind Blood Orange: he sings, plays guitar and piano, and triggers a laptop all at the same time. His music transports you to another time and place, conjuring up an '80s synth-pop sensibility that seems familiar but at the same time unknown. He's been tapped to write songs for artists like Florence and the Machine and The Chemical Brothers and his own electro-pop is evocative while also a bit experimental.
