Gary Clark Jr.: How To Remember Your RootsKUT-FM

It's always nice to see a world-renowned musician return to his roots, especially when he brings pizza for the entire KUTX staff in the process. It wasn't that long ago that Gary Clark Jr. was a blues wunderkind jamming with his elders at the Austin blues club Antone's, but these days, you're more likely to see Clark on late-night television or sharing the stage with Eric Clapton and The Rolling Stones.

Yet Clark treated his visit to KUTX as a kind of homecoming, talking at length about his gratitude for the people and place he grew up loving. Watch Gary Clark Jr.'s haunting acoustic medley of "Blak and Blu" and "Bright Lights," performed in KUTX's brand-new Studio 1A.
