Chvrches' second album, Every Open Eye, was written and recorded after nearly two years of touring behind the band's 2013 debut, The Bones Of What You Believe. Again, Lauren Mayberry's dark lyrics are contrasted with her bell-like vocals and the upbeat synth-pop production of Iain Cook and Martin Doherty. During Chvrches' third visit to The Current's studio, the Glasgow trio grasps its emo core in a performance of Every Open Eye's lead single, "Leave A Trace."
