OK Go's New Video Is As Incredible As You'd Expect

I keep waiting for the guys in OK Go to run out of ideas. Since launching their series of jaw-dropping videos with a treadmill dance number back in 2006, they've gone on to perform elaborately choreographed routines with a marching band, orchestrate a huge and intricate Rube Goldberg device, and pull off one of the most impressive uses of drone video of all time.

Now, the band shows us what it can do with little to no gravity. The video, for the appropriately titled song "Upside Down & Inside Out," opens with the four members of OK Go strapped to their seats in a large airplane. They hammer away at laptop computers before tossing them into the air, where they float and spin with no strings attached. This is what happens when a jet flies at very specific angle called a parabolic arc, causing gravity to disappear for a moment. The periods of weightlessness generally last no more than 25 seconds at a time, so OK Go had to time the routine perfectly.

In the end, they nail it in what appears to be a single take. "Upside Down & Inside Out" is the opening track from OK Go's 2014 album Hungry Ghosts.
