I am a U.S. citizen (Brazilian born, but raised in US) and I recently went to a Baile Funk in Rio at Salgeiro Club during a trip to visit family there -- I was actually chaperoning my daughter and some friends of the family -- all teens. I had never paid any attention to baile funk -- even though I have heard it blasting throughout the favelas that surround my aunt's apartment building. I thought it would be like US hip hop with the grinding. Imagine my surprise when I heard this music -- full blast -- at the club. THIS IS INCREDIBLE STUFF! And while it may have its roots in Miami 70s funk this is completely become "Brazilianized". It is raw, sensual, exciting and totally addictive music. I was also delightfully relieved to witness the Brazilian style of "grinding" -- at least what I saw at this club (which was not inside a favela). It was sensual but not ... how can I put it ... hard core sexual. The emphasis was on the hip movements and dancing. Then again, we did not stay until 4 a.m. when things may have gotten raunchier. Baile Funk -- almost better than samba!

Time Bomb is your Bio song? Jason, don't you think that's a bit ominous? Maybe not the first thing you want to say in an introduction.
