Jobless In March

All but four states saw increases in their unemployment rates from February to March. North Dakota and the District of Columbia saw decreases, and three states had no change. Michigan had the highest jobless rate, at 12.4 percent. The U.S. unemployment rate rose to 8.5 percent in March.
