All entries must be received by midnight on Friday the 17th (that's technically 12:00 AM ET on Saturday November 18, 2000). You can submit your entry using the e-mail form above or by mail to: End This Mess Contest, c/o NPR Online, 635 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20001. All entries must include your name, address and an e-mail address or daytime telephone number. One entry per person. Entries will be reviewed and a winner picked by NPR Online staff (relative as their expertise may be) who will select their favorite entries to be placed on the NPR Online Election 2000 website. The winner will be notified by email or telephone. Employees and immediate families of employees of NPR, and its Member Stations, are not eligible to win.

No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. NPR is not responsible for incomplete, late, lost, stolen, illegible, or misdirected entries. All entries become NPR's property and will not be returned. Each participant consents to the use of his or her name and entry on this Web site for informational, entertainment and/or promotional purposes, without compensation. NPR is not responsible for damages, losses or injuries resulting from acceptance or use of the prize. All taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Winner will be required to verify his or her address, provide his or her social security number, and execute a Contestant Release Form, which must be returned to NPR within fifteen (15) days of attempted delivery. NPR will deliver the prize only after it receives the executed Contestant Release Form. The failure to return the executed Contestant Release Form within that time period or the return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and the selection of the entry with the next highest number of votes as the alternate winner. In the event of any other non-compliance with rules and conditions, the prize also may be awarded to an alternate winner.
