Alexandre Moskalenko of Russia now owns the first Olympic medal in trampoline, with a victory in Saturday's men's event. Ji Wallace of Australia won the silver and Mathieu Turgeon of Canada took the bronze.

A debut event at the 2000 Olympics, trampoline gymnastics has the potential to be a popular spectator sport. Male and female competitors will perform spectacular routines after bouncing high in the air. Russia, France and Belarus are expected to contend for medals.
