Vernon, IL) two PBS stations (WSIU – 8 Carbondale, IL and WUSI – 16 Olney, IL) and the Southern Illinois Radio Information Service. KRCU is licensed to Southeast Missouri State University, located approximately 100 miles south of Saint Louis on the Mississippi River. During his tenure he guided the station through two signal upgrades and implemented plans to build two full-power repeater stations in an effort to enhance public broadcast service in the largely underserved southeast Missouri region.
Petrowich received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/Television from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He has served on numerous non-profit boards including the Alaska Public Radio Network, Alaska Broadcasters Association, Fairbanks Montessori School, and Fairbanks Downtown Rotary Club.
