I've been directing Weekend Edition Saturday for six years, and it is
still an adventure every week. I think the most important part of
picking music is first listening to the story the music comes out of,
and trying to match that mood. Music can serve as punctuation, as a
reinforcement of what we've just heard, and as a tease for what is about
to follow. It is always a challenge, but I love my job!
