Bruce Auster Supervising Editor
Bruce Auster is a supervising editor for Morning Edition. He came to NPR after more than 15 years as a reporter and editor at the newsweekly US News & World Report. Bruce covered a number of key beats for the magazine, including the White House, the Pentagon and the intelligence community. His last assignment was as an investigations editor. Before that he was deputy national and foreign editor as well as deputy business editor. Bruce is a graduate of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and Northwestern University. And, of course, Bruce is an NPR listener. He's been waking up to Morning Edition for more than 20 years.
