Emily Barocas Editorial Assistant
Emily Barocas came to National Public Radio in May of 2003 as an editorial assistant to Morning Edition and Special Correspondent Susan Stamberg. Since then Emily has worked on stories from breaking news and newsmakers to cultural pieces and series. She has booked guests including former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, singer/actress Barbra Streisand and actor Robert Redford. She has helped coordinate Stamberg's monthly series of chats on topics such as ethics, food, power and home. Before coming to NPR, Emily worked as a script coordinator for ABC's Good Morning America. She graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Communication from the school of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
