In a joint National Press Club appearance, Congressman Bob Matsui (D) and Congressman Tom Reynolds (R) disagreed over the prospect of the Democrats winning a majority in the House of Representatives. "Republicans only need to win seven of the 37 (competitive races) to keep the majority in the House," Reynolds said. In response, Matsui said, "The Democratic Party is going to be in great shape on November 2nd. I think people are going to be shocked at what's going to happen in the House of Representatives."
