Take A Ride on the "Biovator"

audio icon Listen to part 1 audio icon Listen to part 2

An imaginary ride from the center of Earth. Step aboard the RADIO EXPEDITIONS "Biovator" for an imaginary high-speed journey from the Earth's core. As we travel up from the heart of the Earth, we'll discover life that exists only on its outermost crust, one-tenth of one percent of the whole sphere. Buried just beneath the surface of the outer crust, dwells a rich abundance of tiny life forms that we rarely ever encounter.

As we reach our destination at the surface of the Earth, we'll listen to the living world of plants and animals while we talk with ecologist Stuart Pimm, of the University of Tennessee about the fragile balance among wildlife, nature, and humans.
