A Classical Fourth: Hudson Shad
NPR July 4th Special Program
|
Strike Up the Band, to form a more perfect Union. On this Independence Day 2003, A Classical Fourth celebrates with the five men of the vocal ensemble Hudson Shad. In NPR's Studio 4A, they'll sing spirituals, patriotic songs, show tunes and American standards, from "Tenting Tonight" to "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," to a deceptively political patriotic song by George Gershwin.
