"The recent interview with James Taylor by Scott Simon on Weekend Edition found me stuck in my car outside the bakery in downtown Holland, Michigan, while my eight-month-old Collie puppy wondered why we weren't getting out to walk the block and conclude with a muffin from the bakery. I was mesmerized by Simon's questions and more importantly, Taylor's responses. I had never heard Taylor speak of his past and the creative impetus behind his music in such a concentrated and sincere manner. It was truly a delight on my own October road."
