New York Noises
Car horns, street noise, radios, car stereos... all driving New Yorkers nuts.

Suggested by Marsha, who listens to WNED in Buffalo, N.Y.:

"I have had many driveway moments, but this was different and your timing was impeccable. I was backing out of my driveway about 8 am and hear this noise, like I just ran over a bicycle, child possibly included. After I figured out that I hadn't damaged anything, and I regained my composure, I realized that the noise turn out to be coming from my speakers. At this point in time I seem to recall that NPR was doing a review of noises. What ever the commentary happened to be it doesn't matter anymore, but that driveway moment had my heart racing far better than any Halloween scare or April Fool!"
